The Studio Spiky XL is the larger Studio version of OMITSUTA’s signature sculptural Spiky bag, bringing the Original design into small-series production.
Starting from a flat fabric, each piece goes through several stages of folding, binding and permanent pleating using the Tegumo Shibori technique, transforming the surface into its distinctive three-dimensional Spiky texture. Traces of the folds and threads remain visible on the fabric, subtle marks of the process behind each piece.
Generous in size yet extra lightweight, the XL features an adjustable strap and can be worn over the shoulder or crossbody.
The XL offers a generous capacity with a flexible silhouette. The overall size and appearance of the bag change depending on how full it is and the length of the strap, allowing it to look more compact or expand to its full capacity when needed.
The inner lining supports the sculptural structure of the bag, helping the Spiky texture maintain its three-dimensional shape without flattening when the bag is full. It also includes a practical inside pocket and is finished with a YKK metal zip.
Made from 100% polyester to permanently hold the pleated texture while remaining extra lightweight and easy to care for.
Cold washable at max. 30°C.
