OMITSUTA is an independent shibori art and design brand founded by Naomi Atsuta Imhof.

Rooted in Japanese textile techniques, OMITSUTA explores shibori beyond its traditional association with dyeing. Fabric is folded, bound and shaped and heated to create permanent three-dimensional textures, transforming a flat surface into volume and form.

At the center of OMITSUTA is an exploration of texture, form and everyday function. Each design begins with the fabric itself。How it can be manipulated, how volume can emerge from a flat surface, and how these transformations become part of an object made for everyday use.

The result is a growing collection of practical, versatile and sculptural bags and accessories: lightweight, functional and made to be lived with.
