KUMI PLEATS BAG
CHF 250.00

MADE TO ORDER

Kumiawase (組み合わせ), meaning combination or arrangement in japanese. Through this idea, the KUMI bag brings together contrasting textures and directions within a single sculptural piece.

Crafted using the traditional arashi shibori technique, the bag plays with vertical and horizontal pleating (tate-yoko), creating a structured silhouette.

Designed for everyday use, KUMI balances form and function with a compact yet practical interior. It features a flat bottom for stability, an inner pocket for essentials, and a small-to-medium capacity.

The signature OMITSUTA adjustable strap allows multiple ways to wear the bag: as a handbag, shoulder bag, or crossbody. Its adjustable system is designed with a loop on one side and a strap on the other, allowing a custom fit secured by a simple knot.

Each piece is made to order and fully customizable in your choice of interior and exterior color combinations. Please note that the outer fabric is thinner than the inner layer and may become slightly translucent depending on lighting (especially with light tones such as white or pale blue.) The interior color therefore subtly influences the final appearance of the exterior.

The bag is slowly crafted in Geneva, Switzerland, with careful attention to detail and finish. It features a matte exterior and a satin interior, a durable YKK zipper. The polyester fabric allows the shibori pleats to be permanently set into the fiber, making the bag machine washable on a cold cycle.

Each KUMI bag is unique. Due to the handmade shibori process, slight variations in shape and measurements are part of its character. The perceived volume may also shift depending on how full the bag is, giving it a dynamic and living form.

ARASHI PLEATS BAG XL
CHF 275.00

HANDMADE TO ORDER

Handcrafted using the ancient Japanese technique of arashi shibori, this bag features organic, flowing pleats inspired by the serene beauty of karesansui (Japanese dry landscape gardens). Each pleat evokes the peaceful movement of water, making this bag a truly unique work of art.

Crafted from 100% polyester, the Arashi Pleats XL is the biggest size of the Arashi collection bag and has a matte exterior and a satin interior. The polyester fabric ensures the shibori process is permanent, with the pleats embedded in the fiber, making the bag machine washable (cold). It features a functional pocket and a high-quality YKK zipper for durability and convenience.

The adjustable strap is designed with a loop on one side and a strap on the other, allowing you to create a custom fit by tying a simple knot.
The strap length measures up to 71 cm with a classic knot and loop configuration.

Please note, each bag is unique, and measurements may vary slightly due to the handmade shibori process.

100% color customizable: Please keep in mind when choosing the color that the outside fabric is thinner than the inside layer and may be slightly see-through depending on the light, especially with lighter colors such as white or light blue. Therefore, the inside color can also affect the final appearance of the outside.

Depending on how full the bag is, its appearance may vary, giving the illusion of a smaller or slightly larger volume.

see pictures bellow for color choices, if the color you want is not listed please let me know in the contact form.
